Imogen Manins
Cellist Imogen Manins is rare amongst players of her instrument. She moves freely from classical repertoire to improvised genres, and treats both areas of music-making with wonderful finesse and artistry. Her acclaimed concert series in the Melbourne Recital Centre with pianist Tony Gould has for the last five years had as guests a diverse range of renowned artists including Slava Grigoryan, Riley Lee, Marshall McGuire, Gian Slater, David Griffiths, David Jones, Eugene Ughetti and Graeme Lyall. She has made recordings on ABC and Move Records labels, winning an APRA/AMC award for 'Instrumental Work of the Year' in 2009.
